Ooh! 2day is SYF and i get to pon sch! It was so fun. The performances by the schools were gr8 (mostly). We had a whale of a time there and time passed so so fast! Very soon we were on our way back to sch again @ around 1+. Unfortunately there was a lunch @ sakae sushi BUT the non-SYF players weren't invited :'( sad but anyway the few of us went to KAP to have lunch @ McDonalds. :) lolx. After taht i had my Purple Comet competition which was a short hour of exhilaration.

I was so sick today I slept until about 2pm. Then the weather got so hot it became completely unbearable, and my flu got even worse. Now I have a really bad sore throat, a massive headache, and an aching body.

Part 3

Aft sch i had my ep3, hciso. [read: STRING ORCHESTRA] today we played sum piece called "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" which u can hear here. Sounds awesome, eh? each section individually was fine, but when we combined it was total chaos. Chaosophy REIGNS!!! ;P The times were completely different. In the end we were dismissed b4 da prob was resolved. [happyface]

BTW we were playing at least one and a half the speed of the youtube vid. it sounds really slow.

~Sc Experiment~

Part 2 of ... [suddenly thot of Epic Drama. also has 3 parts lol]

for science 2day we did some experiments. didnt expect it to be much; juz da usual boring stuff. what wuz shocking was that we got to play w/ some magnesium.

now as we all [read: I] know, magnesium is a very reactive metal not to be played w/. but taht's wot we did.

we heated up a magnesium ribbon, which was a really tiny piece of mg. with strong enough heat, the mg would react and produce MgO2, giving off a lot of heat in the process. also, it gave off a lot of light. here's some quotes of ppl's descriptions of it:

Whoa i'm back after messing around w/ the class blog bcuz ppl need 2 tell me their blog links so that we all can get ACE points !! ;P

Anyway, today was rather hectic, so i will take a massive, whopping 3 posts to describe it. hmmm.

Firstly, in the morning we had our 华岗论坛, or chinese discussion. it was supposed to be about teacher-student relationships, but then the material changed due to some apparent "unsuitability". 房老师 told me yesterday that she was so pissed off. i completely agree.

tat's y 2day we were in complete chaos, and spent 3/4 of the time going thru the materials. taht left us w/ almost no question asking time, when usually there would be more than enough.

房老师came in later and said taht we were very "配合". taht...was surprising as quite a number of ppl were doing hmwk and other stuff. ;P lolz.

~Exams~

Wah!!! Today there were two tests almost back to back: Science, then English.
Let's talk about science first.
Well, I completely did not know about the science test, so I didn't study at all. :'( Also, I didn't complete it. I left the 'density of SAF vehicle' question half-done, and I didn't do the bonus question either so that reduces my highest possible mark by a lot.
Second, the narrative writing test.
I wrote a narrative essay that a swarm of bees attacked the three of us at the beach, which is realistic and relating to the photo that we were given XD. After that, because some selfish people in 1i2 were chatting away, Mr Krison Tan made us stay back for another half an hour to resolve the problem. Although I disliked being held up due to the increased chance of my mother scolding me, the process was actually quite interesting, as Mr Tan made it seem so humorous and yet serious at the same time. At one point he promised us five points deducted if we made him stay so long that his fishes died of hunger. :| 

~HCISO~

If you don't already know, I'm in HCISO, or Hwa Chong Institution String Orchestra. Something interesting that happened today was that my G-string broke. I'm perfectly serious. While trying to tune my viola, I found out that the fine tuner of the G-string was stuck fast; therefore I decided to use the coarse tuner. Surprise, surprise, the coarse tuner tuned way to coarsely and the string snapped. h00ray. Apparently they do not have any spare G-strings, so I've got to wait until Friday. ;'( sad*

I'm feeling sooo sick. I'm like sneezing away and I'm positive that I'm down with sum kinda illness. sad*. I just slept from abt 5.30 to like 7+ but I'm not feeling any betta. In fact I wanna go back 2 sleep, but still got English compo. :'( At least that gives me a moral booster: once I'm done I can go to zzzz. sigh*.

~Easter~

YIPPEE!!! Today is Easter and I can't not post today!!!
It was so fun in church this morning. We had Easter breakfast together (i.e. Sec 1's + Cell Mentors). It was a typical McDonalds' breakfast: one (1) Sausage McMuffin, one (1) Hashbrown, and one (1) cup of Sprite sponsored by the CMs. Except it wasn't typical, of course. We were chatting away merrily about a multitude of topics under the sun, which is something so enjoyable yet so rare for breakfast.
After breakfast, we played this game called Articulate, which is kinda like Taboo, except there are no taboo words, and there is a specified topic: either person, action, object, nature, world (a place), random or spade. Spade is one of these topics that is marked with a spade. The aim is to get the counter from teh start line to teh finish line. Although the game was cut short, our cell won as we were nearest to the finish line.
We then went down for the R-AGE service, which was an exciting one incorporating an exciting drama showing the effects of life without God: the fragility of relationships, the routine of life, and the feeling of brokeness. I must say that it was very, very, very dramatic. Pastor Ronald then gave a brief sermon about why we should accept God et cetera for the newcomers.
What an exciting Easter it was, and the first Easter I've had since going to secondary school and becoming an R-AGEr!!! ;P

~Français~

I went for French today. If you didn't know (which you most probably wouldn't), I took my French test last week. Mme Tournay said that I got 70~80 marks. How precise. She said she was disappointed as I got 10 marks less than her top pupil. [-.-'''''] Not as if I'm supposed to score 100. I mean, 70+ secures me an A, which is good. Sadly it cannot add to my MSG. sigh*

~Proj Day~

Well, today was Projects' Day prelim round, and it was REALLYYYYYYYY boring. I can't emphasize how boring it was. I can do this though: [unimaginable_boredom] Projects' Day [/unimaginable_boredom]. Perhaps that was a simple way of representing how BORING it was.
Our group went up first to set a sort-of yardstick for the rest of the projects. We presented, had a round of Q&A, then listened to the judges' comments. After that we went back to our places and sat there doing nothing for the REST OF THE 4 HOURS 45 MINUTES!!!!! Can you imagine how boring that was? Apart from a small break in the middle, the rest was just sitting there staring at the projected image on the screen and listening to the judges' drone on about the importance of blah blah blah. Everybody was falling asleep! I cannot believe they actually did not allow us to leave once our presentation was over bcuz staying there would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring. Really. If you were there you would know how we felt. Thx to the organisers, man.
After Proj Day I still had to go for French. So I only just returned at about 7pm++. An entire day of boredom. Hooray.

~Falling asleep~

Something interesting which I forgot to blog about was that I fell asleep on the bus three days ago (Wednesday). Well, of course I exceeded the bus stop and had to walk back to HCI. [sarcasm] How fun that was!!! [/sarcasm] Luckily I took the 'early bus' so I didn't end up late. :P Anyway that wasn't the first time. It was the second.

I have been so busy recently doing the Inventors' Log (which you can see here) that I've had no time to post here. Well, it seems almost nobody in 1i2 blogs anymore. The last post on our class blog is dated 1st April. That's like more than a week already! I'm surprised...bcuz in the beginning everybody was fanatic about blogging and the blog was spammed with everybody's posts; but now since Mdm Lim made it optional to post in the class blog, no one is doing so anymore. I feel sad for blogging.

I have recently begun to be addicted to DJMAX Portable, so I am craving to play more on YuX's PSP. Ahhh...the sweetness of unlockables and max combos...

~Art Project~

Oh!!!! I just completed my art project which took me smth like ~2h to do. Luckily for me there is smth called GIMP so I do not have to do pixel art on the mediocre Paint. Perhaps Microsoft should think of coming up smth similar soon; or perhaps not, it's for office use and not design like a Mac. Sigh. Now we just have to solve the problem of who's gonna print what, bcuz my printer has no ink, Eug's is only B&W and YX always has a printer prob w/ his bro. So now we gotta figure if ZH is willing 2 help us print. (Hope 4 a yes!!!!) :P

Which reminds me. I recently changed my phone to French language, and I can understand less than one quarter of it now. Which is really quite interesting, as I am figuring out what all those weird-looking words mean. Things like 'Ouvrir' and 'Gérer un fichier' and 'Chronomètre'. How interesting! ~~

The blogging frenzy has finally died down and I can get back to blogging here without having to compete with my class blog. Apparently Zhen Hui, on the other hand, has just begun his mass-blogging, which is really quite interesting. Check out his blog. Anyways I will (hopefully) be resuming near-daily blogging soon, which is quite encouraging. :P
